Columbia Sportswear has announced the appointment of Christian Buss as director of investor relations, reporting to Jim Swanson, senior vice president and chief financial officer of the group. Buss, who has been involved in equity analysis since 2005, comes from Credit Suisse, where he was director of global apparel research. Columbia did not want to tell us whom he is replacing, but we suspect that it is Ron Parham, who has been the group's senior director of investor relations and corporate communications since the beginning of 2008. According to his Linkedin profile, Parham left the post in October and set up his own consultancy, NW Strategy Communications, in Portland, Oregon in November.
