Columbia Sportswear has chosen Delta Galil Industries to be the exclusive global licensee for its first men's and women's socks. It will develop, produce and distribute Columbia's socks designed for hiking, trail-running, hunting, skiing, snowboarding and outdoor lifestyle. The first socks from the new collaboration will be available for autumn 2013 at Columbia stores as well as big-box sporting goods retailers and department and specialty stores. The new collection made its public debut at the current Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City. Delta Galil, based in Israel, was founded in 1975. It makes and distributes socks, underwear and intimates worldwide, and handles such brands as Wilson, Converse and Kenneth Cole.
