Crocs has eliminated the positions of chief operating officer and senior vice president of the supply chain in connection with the departure of its COO, Scott Crutchfield. The company has appointed Phil Blake to the new position of senior VP of global sourcing and promoted Dennis Sheldon to VP of global distribution and logistics. Blake was previously in charge of sourcing or manufacturing at Clarks Americas, the former Performance & Lifestyle Group of Collective Brands, and Timberland. Meanwhile, Crocs reported sales declines of 16.1 percent in dollars and 8 percent in local currencies for the first quarter. The bottom line showed a net loss of $6.0 million against a net profit of $6.4 million in the year-ago period, but this came after higher exceptional charges. More in SGI Europe and Shoe Intelligence.
