Dale of Norway appointed Anette Evensen as marketing manager from the start of November. The Norwegian knitwear brand's marketing activities were previously supervised by Arnstein Raunehaug, marketing and sales manager, who is leaving the company in February. The sales manager's job is to be taken over in March by Bjørn Burkhalter, whose former jobs include that of area sales manager at Odlo. Evensen, who comes from the media business, was appointed to intensify the Norwegian brand's communication activities. Part of the assignment is to rejuvenate Dale's marketing as it continues to focus on sports and outdoor products but also strives to expand in fashion retail channels with garments targeted at younger people. Dale has been expanding since Hilde Midthjell, a sharp Norwegian businesswoman, acquired a majority stake in the company three years ago.
