David Loechner has resigned as president, chief executive and board member of Emerald Expositions Events, owner of the Outdoor Retailer trade shows and others. He will, however, remain with the company through the end of the year to help with the transition. Emerald's chief financial officer, Philip Evans, has stepped in as interim president and chief executive. Loechner has spent about 35 years with the company and eight as its leader. Evans has been the CFO since 2013, and played a key role in Emerald's initial public offering last year. He was previously the CFO of ProQuest, a Michigan-based data-services company for academic research. In the third quarter of 2018, Emerald saw revenues rise 2.7 percent to $103 million and net income rise 8.9 percent to $20.9 million as compared to the same period a year ago.
