David Sharp has handed in his resignation as president and chief executive of Rocky Brands as well as a director of the American company, where he has served in various management roles since 2000. Mike Brooks, chairman, will take over his functions on an interim basis until his successor is found. As we have reported in Shoe Intelligence and The Outdoor Industry Compass, Rocky has decided to invest more in its lifestyle footwear collections and in its military boot business. Rocky markets shoes under the Rocky, Georgia Boot, Durango, Lehigh and Creative Recreation brands. It is also a footwear licensee of Michelin.
