Effective with the spring collection 2013, Exped, the Swiss brand of outdoor equipment, will split its North American distribution. While the U.S. market continues to be covered by Exped's Seattle-based subsidiary, which was founded in 2009, the Canadian distribution will be in new hands: Montreal-based In-Sports Fashion will be in charge from Jan. 1. In-Sports Fashion was founded in 1988 and serves the Canadian market with brands such as Osprey, Toni Sailer, Sorbothane and others. Exped points out that its development in North America has been so healthy that it made sense to have two different operations in the two countries.
