Exped, the 20-year-old Swiss outdoor equipment brand, has appointed Eicke Thiele as sales manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Hubert Rutishauser, a member of the executive board who has until now been responsible for logistics and international sales, is handing some of his responsibilities over to Thiele, who previously worked in the sales department and as store manager for the Unterwegs group, the big fish in the pond of outdoor retailing in northern Germany. Along with Marc Raillard, responsible for product management, and Betti Frangi, responsible for IT and marketing, Rutishauser took over Exped's management in 2018. Andi and Heidi Brun, the company's founders, retired at the end of 2017 but continue to be involved as consultants.
