On April 1, Burkhard Stork officially took over as the new managing director of the German Bicycle Industry Association (ZIV). He is filling the big shoes of former Siegfried Neuberger, who passed away suddenly in the middle of last year. Stork is no newcomer to the industry. He already served as federal managing director at Germany’s largest bicycle association, Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club (ADFC), a large interest group of cyclists that is particularly involved in transport politics. Industry veteran Ernst Brust, who immediately stepped in as an interim managing director last summer, will remain with the ZIV as head of the technology department.
