Harald Ennen has been appointed as the new chief executive at Outnorth, the Nordic online retailer specialized in outdoor products. He takes over from Lars Nykvist, who decided to stand down after eight years with Outnorth, the last four of them as chief executive. Ennen has a track record in e-commerce, most recently as chief executive of NetOnNet. Established in 2005, Outnorth operates in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Germany. Egmont Publishing, the owner of Outnorth, said that the retailer's annual sales reach 430 million Swedish kronor (€40.2m-$47.0m) and that it invested a three-digit million amount earlier this year to support Outnorth's ambition to become the leading Nordic online retailer of outdoor products. Among other interests, Egmont has formed a group of e-commerce firms with sales in the range of €300 million and a target to raise that to €500 million in 2020.
