Hydro Flask has hired Mike Wallenfels as vice-president of worldwide sales. Wallenfels previously served as president of Mountain Hardwear and Montrail, where he guided product expansion and rapid development in new foreign markets. In 2009, he stepped away from Mountain Hardwear and Montrail as well as the chair of the Outdoor Industry Association to join Timbuk2 Designs as its chief executive. He led that company's re-organization and guided wholesale, international, eCommerce and direct retail expansion. Wallenfels also serves on the board of the non-profit Big City Mountaineers.
