Implementing a previously conceived succession plan, Rocky Brands has promoted Jason Brooks to the role of president and chief executive of the company, which owns brands such as Durango, Georgia Boot, Lehigh and Creative Recreation, besides a license for Michelin footwear. The 46-year-old manager takes the place of his father, Mike Brooks, who will continue to be involved as chairman of the board. Jason Brooks started off at the American company as an independent sales representative in 1997. From 2001 on, he was given various sales responsibilities, culminating with his appointment as president of core brands in February 2016. He will now also join Brooks' board of directors. Earlier this year, Rocky hired a new chief financial officer, Thomas Robertson.
