Johnson Outdoors has hired Larry Baab as group vice president of its camping and watercraft divisions. He will be overseeing the camping brands Eureka and Jetboil and the watercraft brands Old Town, Ocean Kayak and Carlisle, with operations in Binghamton, New York; Manchester, New Hampshire; and Old Town, Maine. He will have a seat on the executive committee, reporting to Helen Johnson-Leipold, Johnson's chief executive. Baab began as a general manager for Black & Decker before taking marketing vice presidencies at Petmate, Ames and Igloo. He then became vice president of global trends, brands, product design and development at the Loew's hardware chain. He was most recently chief commercial officer and senior vice president of commercial operations at Accutec Blades.
