Maier Sports, the German sports apparel firm acquired by the Findos Investor equity firm in August 2011, reports a strong increase of 29 percent in pre-orders for the coming spring/summer season. Most noticeable, exports to Russia, Austria and Switzerland will increase considerably as compared to the same period of the previous year. Maier Sports ended relations with 63 retailers and started to work with 88 new retail partners from November 2013. Due to the recent growth, Maier Sports has appointed Stefan Taft for the newly created position of marketing manager, effective on Oct. 1 this year. Taft reports directly to the executive board, consisting of Lothar Baisch, Simone Mayer and Tanja Kohler. The 44-year-old worked previously for Schöffel, Maier Sports and X-Technology, before coming back to Maier Sports. Together with Alinda Schmid, Daniel Rothmeier and Ulrike Lingen, Taft forms the new marketing team of Maier Sports.
