Martin Vergien has been appointed as vice president and managing director of Coleman in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He formally takes over from Marc Hill, after several months in the same position on an interim basis. Vergien is taking charge on a regional basis of the Coleman, Campingaz, Sevylor and Aerobed brands, belonging to the Newell Group, while retaining his responsibility as vice president for finance. Vergien previously worked for companies such as Mars and Belron/Carglass, and his assignments have taken him to countries from France to the U.K. and China. He became vice president for finance and IT at Coleman EMEA in 2010, to significantly improve cost and profit structures. Vergien said in a statement that the company has constantly developed its organization across Europe in the last years and is well-placed to gain market share in the regional barbecue and outdoor markets.
