Mokhtar Benbouazza has been appointed as marketing director at Jack Wolfskin, after marketing assignments with other employers including S. Oliver and Universal Music Group. The appointment comes after the departure of Jan Erik van Dijk, who had been director of global brand marketing since August 2015. The German outdoor company said that he left in September. Benbouazza is in charge of brand and media marketing, trade marketing and brand creation, along with social media and CRM activities. Jack Wolfskin pointed to relevant experience in both the fashion and retail industries. Benbouazza previously spent four years to 2015 as head of marketing at S. Oliver, after three years heading up marketing and sales at Universal Music Group. Since the start of 2017, he had been general manager in charge of marketing at Dodenhof, a retailer operating stores in northern German and an online store. He reports directly to Melody Jensbach-Harris, the German brand's chief executive.
