Mountainsmith, the American brand of outdoor gear, has hired Josh Kerns as national sales manager and Jeff Popp as product line manager. Kerns will be heading up the outdoor brand's independent sales representatives in North America and oversee sales strategy. He serves in the Army National Guard and he previously owned and operated a bed and breakfast, called North Cascades Lodge, before taking operational roles in other companies. He was most recently sales operations manager at Scarpa North America. Before that he was operations manager at Sherpa Adventure Gear. Popp will be leading the product development team. He has founded two backpack brands, Mile High Mountaineering and Co.Alition, which he ran for eight years and sold in 2017. Mountainsmith is headquartered in Golden, Colorado, and currently celebrating its 40th anniversary.
