Nelson Chan, a former chief executive of Magellan, has been appointed to Deckers Brands' board of directors, replacing Maureen Conners. Chan is currently chairman of Outerwall, the company behind the well-known Redbox and Coinstar operations. He acts as chairman or director at various other companies including Synaptics, described as a leading developer and supplier of custom-designed human interface solutions that enable people to interact more easily and intuitively with a wide variety of mobile computing, communications, entertainment, and other electronic devices
