Petzl has appointed Brian Block to head its North American sports division. Block was previously sales director for Gregory Mountain Products and High Sierra Outdoor, after several years as a regional representative for brands from Osprey to Marmot, Sole and Scarpa, as part of Ames Adventure Outfitters. Block is to expand existing accounts and support the French climbing and other outdoor equipment brand's long-term sales and profitability in the North American market. He will lead Petzl's sales reps and manage Petzl's sport division employees. Block is a member of the American Alpine Club, Access Fund, and 7 Summits Club.
