Philippe Joffard, president and chief executive of Lafuma Group, has promoted the 33-year-old Arnaud du Mesnil to the position of deputy managing director. The young manager worked for Ernst & Young and for Orange International before joining the French outdoor group in 2008 as controller. He then took charge of Lafuma's foreign sales subsidiaries and added other responsibilities, such as strategic planning, information technology and e-commerce. Earlier this year, he was placed in charge of Oxbow, the struggling surfwear brand of the group. At the same time, Lafuma has announced the appointment of a new administrative and financial director, Rémi Weidenmann, joining the executive board of the group and handling also investor relations. This 36-year-old manager worked previously for Norbert Dentressangle, a major French shipping company, as well as Sanofi-Aventis and Valtech.
