Skylotec, the leading German producer of fall protection and safety systems for sports, industry and tactical operations, announced that Marco Neutard has been appointed chief digital officer of the company. He worked for McKinsey for several years and most recently as an independent management consultant. Prior to that, the business economist gained professional experience in marketing and sales. In this newly created position, Neutard and his team will work to develop digital solutions to support existing and new businesses, including wind energy, telecommunication, and logistics. He will be responsible primarily for the digital transformation and further increasing the company's delivery reliability and profitability. According to the company, the new position was created because the digitization process is posing entirely new challenges for family businesses such as Skylotec, founded in 1947, in areas such as production, customer relations, distribution channels and the provision of new services. Only a month ago, Christian Schulte was appointed as the new head of marketing as part of an announced expansion of Skylotec's team to drive the business forward.
