SOG Specialty Knives and Tools has announced the appointment of Chas Fisher as its new vice-president of sales. Fisher has nearly 30 years of experience in the outdoor industry. Prior to joining SOG, he was chief operating officer of Verde Brand Communications. He has also previously served as vice-president of sales at Cascade Designs, president of Nikwax North America, and marketing director at La Sportiva. Founded in 1986 by Spencer Frazer, SOG takes its name from the Studies and Observation Group, a U.S. Special Operations military unit from the Vietnam era. SOG recently presented its new product line at the 2018 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show in Las Vegas, at the end of January.
