Stephen Barnes has been appointed senior product manager for Sierra Designs, the American outdoor brand. Barnes was most recently the founder and president of Barnestorm Product Solutions, assisting startups on business plans and working with other customers on brand messaging and product launches. He was formerly product development manager at Osprey Packs and worked in product creation with Camelbak and The North Face. Sierra Designs became part of Exxel Outdoors in April 2015, when the multi-brand group acquired American Recreation Products, the parent company of Sierra Designs and several other outdoor brands. A former rafting and mountaineering guide and wilderness first-aid responder, Barnes is based in Boulder, Colorado.
