Teva, a division of Deckers Outdoor Corp., has hired Lorie Pointer as senior product line manager for its water category of men's, women's and kid's footwear. She will report to Juerg Geser, senior director of global product/merchandising. With more than 15 years of experience in the footwear industry, Pointer will help reinforce Teva's position within the outdoor sandal category. Pointer joins Teva after working with Brown Shoe Company's Rykä brand, where she helped increase sales by 15 percent as its women's product director. She started her career at Nike, where she spent nearly eight years. She led Nike's exclusive collections for Footlocker and Lady Footlocker before being promoted to global equipment product line manager in 2003. Since then she has worked with Columbia Sportswear and, more recently, Keen Footwear, where she held the positions of international business manager and global product category manager. She helped manage there three different product lines.
