The European Outdoor Group is set to focus more on communication of its activities. EOG, therefore, has hired Mathias Basedow as marketing and communications associate as a fully employed staff member assisting Mark Held, the federation's secretary general, in meeting the increased the workload of the association, especially when it comes to communication with affiliated members and the industry as a whole. The 28-year-old Austrian was involved in Oakley's business as communication coordinator. Former communication consultant Vanessa Knowles will remain on the team, starting to be involved in additional tasks such as a building up a new structure for EOG's Sustainability Working Group.
