The expanded and more segmented footwear line presented at the OutDoor show by The North Face, which has begun to make some models of hiking shoes in Romania since the spring 2012 collection, is managed since a few weeks by a team of high-level executives with a cumulated 75 years of experience in the athletic and outdoor sectors. Brian More, who worked most recently for Timberland, served previously at New Balance, Saucony and Burton. Carey Platto, who comes from Puma, is director of outdoor footwear at TNF. Prior to Puma, he worked at Patagonia and New Balance. Another new TNF manager, Paul Astorind, has joined the fast-growing brand as director of performance running after acting as global director of the running department at Adidas. Prior to this major responsibility, he worked at Asics and Nike.
