The German section of Sport 2000 has created the new position of a brand manager in charge of its own outdoor label, High Colorado. Effective July 4, Maik Spieker joined the group's headquarters to optimize consistent marketing strategies and to develop new ones. Over the past decade, the 37-year-old worked for various marketing and communication agencies, most recently as creative director. Spieker will report to Hans Allmendinger, the group's marketing director. He will coordinate the joint efforts of the marketing, sales, purchasing and product development units to ensure a clear and strengthened profile for High Colorado at the points of sale, and thus to increase the brand's popularity in behalf of the affiliated retailers.
