The North Face has announced the appointment of Steve Lesnard as global vice president of marketing. He brings 20 years of experience driving high-profile business growth, leading global brand campaigns and revolutionary product launches, and forming strategic partnership. Lesnard served most recently as global vice president and general manager of Nike Running. TNF also confirmed the appointment of Tina Rolén as its new marketing director for the EMEA region, taking the place of Kathy Hines. Rolén joined VF last September as EMEA marketing director for Vans. Prior to that, she had worked for two years as worldwide marketing director for Haglöfs, the Swedish outdoor brand. She also spent 10 years at Adidas. Evidently, Jan van Leeuwen is putting together a strong team around him with managers who helped him to post strong double-digit growth for another brand of VF Corp. before. As previously reported, Van Leeuwen, who made the switch from Vans to TNF as vice president and general manager for the EMEA region at the end of 2018, has also been assisted over the last few weeks by a new European vice president of sales at TNF, Jeremie Blondel, who had previously worked under him in a similar position at Vans.
