Thomas Brock, who has been with Mammut Sports Group as sales director for equipment and footwear in Germany since 2003, was appointed head of Mammut's operations in the Swiss market. He will replace Bernhard Bolliger, the longtime country manager in Switzerland, who decided to go into retirement and to spend much of his time climbing. In Germany, Bernd Wodarz remains in charge of sales for Mammut's entire range, but the company will appoint a senior key account and category manager to assist him. One of Mammut's strengths is its steady management: Many senior managers have been in place for two decades or even more, including Bolliger; Wodarz; Ernst Schweble, who runs Mammut Germany; and Rolf Schmid, the chief executive of Mammut Sports Group.
