Timberland appointed Marc Martin to the newly created position of field sales manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland on Jan. 1. In addition to overseeing all product categories sold in specialist stores in those countries, Martin will lead Timberland's entire specialist trade team for German-speaking countries. He will report directly to Tom Czizegg, Timberland's senior wholesale manager for the region. Martin, 35, worked previously for one and a half years as sales and marketing director for Camel Active at Gabor Footwear, a company that he had joined in 2009 after working for five years with Astor Müller. Timberland's sales team in Munich was already reformed in mid-November, when Franziska Probst assumed the position of key account manager for the brand's sport lifestyle category. She also reports directly to Czizegg. Probst was previously responsible for the Intersport account at Under Armour.
