Timberland has appointed Christopher Raeburn, the British fashion designer, to be its first global artistic director. He will be splitting his time between his own Christopher Raeburn brand, based in London, and Timberland's offices in New Hampshire, Switzerland and Hong Kong. Known for his green philosophy and use of recycled materials, Raeburn will be in charge of the design for new men's and women's footwear, apparel and accessories for Timberland. The first collection run by him will be for the autumn/winter 2019/20 season. Raeburn, whose brand's philosophy is based on the words “remade, reduced and recycled,” already worked with Timberland on a collaborative capsule collection that was shown at the London Men's Fashion Week last June.
