VF Corp. has announced the appointment of Joe Alkire as vice president of investor relations and financial planning & analysis, with immediate effect. In this role, he will report to Scott Roe, VF's chief financial officer. He replaces Lance Allega, the former vice president of investor relations & strategic accounts, who has left the company to pursue another career opportunity. Alkire, who has been with VF since 2010, was previously vice president of corporate finance, and primarily focused on the areas of financial planning & analysis and strategic planning, with significant involvement in mergers & acquisitions, treasury and investor relations. During his career at VF, he has held a series of roles with increasing responsibility in the corporate finance department. Prior to VF, he worked at William Blair & Company as a sell-side analyst, focusing on the services sector. He also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in transaction services and merger & acquisition, advising on the real estate industry.
