VF Corporation has announced that Robert K. Shearer, the group's senior vice president & chief financial officer, will retire in March 2015, after 28 years with the company. VF has named Scott A. Roe, currently vice president, as controller and chief accounting officer, to replace Shearer in the role of chief financial officer. Roe has worked closely with Shearer and the VF leadership team for many years. He is an active member of VF's operating committee. He joined VF in 1996 as an audit manager, and has since then held multiple positions of increasing responsibility within the company's finance organization. In 2012, he was promoted to vice president of finance for VF Corp., based in Greensboro, North Carolina, after serving as vice president and chief financial officer for VF International, headquartered in Switzerland. Roe will report to Eric C. Wiseman, chairman, president and chief executive officer of VF. He began his career as a senior auditor for Ernst & Young, serving Fortune 500 clients in the apparel, manufacturing and service industries.
