It was probably one of Messe Friedrichshafen's targets to organize an OutDoor show that was better than the weather outside the halls. The makers managed to achieve this goal even though that was not difficult to do.

During the show, the weather was horrible – except for Saturday which was felt by many visitors to be a rather weak day in terms of attendance. The rest was strong though, with 890 exhibitors – up by 3 percent compared with the previous year – welcoming 21,520 trade visitors. According to the custom in Germany, this figure indicates visits per day and not head counts. This figure was up by 5 percent compared with 2010.

The share of non-German visitors was high at 59 percent, naturally including a good share of retailers from neighboring Austria and Switzerland (see the chart with the breakdown of visitors). The organizers noted a strong increase in visitors from the Far East and North America. The 19th OutDoor show will be held on July 12-15 next year.
