GSI Outdoors has announced the acquisition of Innate, the Canadian supplier of food and drink storage systems and travel essentials based in Vancouver. The food and drink storage solutions will be integrated into GSI Outdoors' branded product line while the Travel Essentials Collection will continue to be marketed under the Innate brand name. All operations will relocate to GSI Outdoors' facilities in Spokane, Washington in the U.S. The new 2016 collections for both brands will debut at the next Outdoor Retailer Show in August. Innate's founder, Greg Foweraker, will be part of GSI Outdoors' team as well as Innate's product development and supply chain team. He will be based in Vancouver. Robyn Gibson will also remain in Canada as sales coordinator for Canadian sales, OEM and key accounts for the combined companies. Gibson will be working closely with Tom Hathaway, director of North American sales for GSI Outdoors, Outside Inside and Innate brands.
