Hilco Vision is acquiring Croakies, a 40-year-old American specialist in rather cool eyewear retainers and related accessories for outdoor lifestyle pursuits. Hilco, which has made many other acquisitions lately, will keep Croakies' manufacturing unit in Bozeman, Montana, and will try to expand the brand's presence internationally. The details of the transaction have remained undisclosed. John Krisik, Croakies' lifelong president and owner, will be retiring at the end of January. Owned by Hilsinger, Hilco has subsidiaries in Canada, Europe, China and Australia.
