Invia, the German distributor of high-end gear, will no longer be in charge of selling the GPS systems of Satmap. The British company, based in Leatherhead near London, has taken the distribution in the country into its own hands, effective June 1. Also, from Aug. 1 on, Invia will no longer be in charge of the distribution of Gregory, the U.S. backpacks brand. As reported before, Gregory is walking away from Invia after merging with Black Diamond last year. The backpack business will be handled by BD’s European operations located in Reinach, Switzerland. In return, Invia will focus on the distribution of Mountain Equipment, Highgear and Bridgedale. Since the beginning of this year, Invia has not only covered the German-speaking countries, but Italy as well. To serve the larger territory properly, Invia has added 350 square meters to its warehouse in the south of Munich.
