Hudy Sport, a leading Czech outdoor retailer with stores and franchises in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, joined the European Outdoor Group (EOG) earlier this month. Hudy has become part of a growing number of retail members at the association, since it decided to open up last year. The 14 current retail members may be joined shortly by two outdoor industry retail leaders. We hear that advanced negotiations are underway between the EOG and Globetrotter, the German outdoor retailer that belongs to the Fenix Outdoor International group in Sweden, as well as the A.S. Adventure Group, which comprises Cotswold Outdoor and Snow + Rock in the U.K., along with A.S. Adventure in Belgium and Bever in the Netherlands.
