The British Outdoor Industries Association has announced major changes on its board of directors. At OIA's annual meeting last week, Corry Taylor of Bradshaw Taylor stepped down from his post as chairman of the U.K. industry's federation, effective March 31, after a full term of service. Simultaneously, Stephen Newlands was appointed his successor. Newlands is managing director of the AMG Group, the Scottish company that owns brands such as Vango and distributes others such as Asolo in Britain and Ireland. Taylor will remain on the board, where he has been a member since 2009. A new member is Hamish Dunn, brand director of Mountain Equipment. He replaces Michelle Dickinson, who will take on a management position in the garden and homeware division of Burton McCall.
