The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) and seven other international sports federations will present their respective candidate sports to the executive board of the International Olympic Committee on May 29 in St. Petersburg, Russia. The body will decide on the same day which of these sports will remain on the shortlist to take part in September 2013's final round for the decision on which sport will be added to the 2020 Olympic Games program. Sport climbing has already reached the semifinals. As the dedication and enthusiasm of the sport's worldwide community provides a tangible way to assess the popularity of the sport, which is a key part in IOC's decision-making process, the IFSC has decided to launch a donation campaign to involve the climbing community even more. The campaign is seeking to increase the number of fans on IFSC ‘s Facebook page and to raise money for events, broadcasting and communication. The campaign will be accompanied by 54 prizes offered by Entre-Prises and Kailas, which can be won when donating a minimum of €5 to the campaign. The IFSC already counts 25 million climbers worldwide, with 3,000 new members joining the community every day. It groups 81 active member federations, organizes 40 international events per year and issues 1,600 international memberships every year.
