The Outdoor Industry Association has formally begun the search process for the successor of Frank Hugelmeyer, who resigned from the position of president and chief executive of the American association last September, after 15 years in the post. The OIA has hired The Forest Group to help in the recruitment process, starting with a poll among the members of the board of directors to help determine the future manager's profile. The board hopes to complete the process within the next four to six months. Meanwhile, Steve Barker, founder and former CEO of Eagle Creek, has agreed to act as interim executive director.
