VF's The North Face and Vans have teamed up in a new counterfeit lawsuit seeking more than $300 million in damages. According to reports in Fashion Network, the complaint was recently filed in Florida federal court. The lawsuit involves 831 websites that are allegedly selling fake Vans and TNF product sand violating the brands' trademarks. Similarly to other counterfeit cases, a number of these websites have names that somehow mimic the originals and could confuse consumers. In most of these cases, it is unfortunately very difficult for authorities to locate the defendants.
