Osprey Packs is planning to complete an expansion of its Cortez, Colorado headquarters in the second half of the year to house a growing staff. Fourteen new positions will be added to its Cortez facilities in the course of 2015, including staff for the IT department and the sales, marketing, quality & returns service. The company, which has recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, is currently preparing for the opening of its new distribution center in Ogden, Utah, scheduled for mid-April. The location of the new distribution center, close to the national rail network, is meant to allow the company to better fulfill shipments to its retailer base while also reducing its carbon footprint significantly.
