Arc'teryx, Castelli, Gore Bike Wear, Gore Running Wear and The North Face will come out in December with road cycling and running garments made with a new Gore-Tex Active technology. It maximizes lightness and breathability by using a permanent beading surface that eliminates the need for a face fabric, which can get wet, producing a chilling effect. The new Gore-Tex membrane is viewed as a competitor of a similar product launched by Outdry for Columbia Sportswear earlier this year.
