Arc'teryx is entering two new product categories. The brand has introduced an anti-avalanche backpack, called Voltair, which is equipped with an airbag with a centrifugal blow. The airbag is powered by a rechargeable battery that allows it to be used many times over. Arc'teryx is also coming up with a collection of men's, women's and unisex ski boots to accompany its Procline line of ski mountaineering apparel. Described as the only hybrid ski boot of its kind, the lightweight Procline boot features a patented two-piece carbon fiber upper cuff that can rotate vertically as well as laterally for greater freedom of movement in alpine climbing and downhill skiing. It has a fully integrated two-buckle system. It comes with Dynafit-certified pin inserts and a double-compound Vibram outsole. Two options are offered for the line, which can be thermoformed.
