British folding bike manufacturer Brompton and Swiss bag specialist Freitag are collaborating on a high-priced bike bag project. The “F748 Coltrane Backpack for Brompton” is made of used truck tarpaulin and attaches to an aluminum Brompton front carrier frame with hook-and-loop straps so it can be easily removed and used as a backpack. The easily removable shoulder straps allow for one-handed docking and removal from any classic Brompton folding bike. The backpack will be available April 14 at Freitag Stores, Brompton Junctions and the Freitag B2C Shop for $440 or €360.
