Cordura, a brand of Invista, has announced a collaboration with Südwolle, the global wool yarn producer, to develop a performance nylon/wool blend. The yarn, which will combine nylon 6.6 fibres with Merino wool, is supposed to offer enhanced abrasion resistance, tensile strength performance and strong tear resistance. Details of the new collaboration will be illustrated at the Techtextil trade show in Frankfurt on May 9-12. Invista's portfolio of brands also includes Lycra, Coolmax, Stainmaster, and Thermolite, among others.
