Danny Feuerstein has launched a new high-performance line of base layer garments, called Komafram, which use natural alpaca wool. He is the son of Aaron Feuerstein, founder of Malden Mills, parent company of Polartec. Based in Chicago, the new brand is supposed to blend functionality with comfort and style, in products made in America. The brand will make its debut at the Outdoor Retail show in Salt Lake City this week, starting off with performance socks. To show its commitment to corporate responsibility, Komafram is partnering with Ambassador Enterprises, a profit-oriented philanthropic equity company that invests in industry leaders and the organizations they run.
