Lestra, a French manufacturer of bedding and high-performance sleeping bags, is launching its second line of outdoor clothing in natural wool this winter, using biodegradable materials, under the Lestra Outdoor label. It has been developed with the help of a specialized technical design studio, Jonathan & Fletcher, that has also worked for Rossignol and other sports brands, and it has been tested on polar expeditions. The French company stopped marketing down-filled clothing ten years ago because of strong competition in the sector. It launched a first line of clothing in natural wool with Sympatex membranes a year ago, simultaneously with the launch of a line of wool-based sleeping bags. Lestra has worked with 3M for its winter 2017 line of garments. The Lestra Outdoor line is sold for the moment only in France and on the company's website, but it is going to be made available also to German retailers next year through the company's German agent for its sleeping bags, Native Expert.
