Mammut is asking owners of its Generation 3.0 avalanche airbags to ensure that the airbag balloon is correctly attached to the inflation system or else get in touch with the company's customer service department. An improperly attached airbag can lose volume too quickly after inflation. The request is addressed specifically to customers who have purchased the winter 2016/17, winter 2017/18 or winter 2018/19 editions of the airbag, all of which have neon deployment handles. Airbags from previous seasons, with red deployment handles, are not concerned. Instructions for the procedure are included in the product's PDF manual, on the second page of each language section.
